Neck Flex® Ballistic Kevlar® Series Kit — at a glance

  • What it is: the MMB Pro design stitched with Kevlar® thread, in different colors — the heaviest-duty Neck Flex harness for plate and cable loading.
  • In the box: Ballistic Kevlar® harness, heavy-duty weight-lifting chain and carabiners, Bodylastics® 19 lb resistance band, Bodylastics® door anchor, Neck Flex tote bag, sticker, and instructional videos.
  • Trains: neck flexion, extension and lateral flexion through vertically oriented D-rings on each quadrant of the harness; add the Revolver™ attachment for loaded rotation. Front power strap keeps it anchored under heavy load.
  • Loading: resistance bands from a door anchor, weight plates on the included chain, or a cable stack.
  • Evidence: the Neck Flex is the head harness named in three peer-reviewed papers from a Royal Danish Air Force randomized controlled trial (BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders 2015 and 2017; Frontiers in Public Health 2020). In 2021 a federal court granted a preliminary injunction after finding a competitor's harness matched the Neck Flex "apparently even down to the stitching pattern." Full evidence profile · Neck Flex vs. Iron Neck.
  • Made by: Gonza LLC, Leesburg, Virginia. Designed and engineered in the United States. Sold since 2012. Five U.S. patents.

The Neck Flex® Ballistic Kevlar® Series has finally arrived. The Ballistic features Military Grade Kevlar® threading that is 10x stronger than steel. Along with that we integrated diamond embossed neoprene padding for ultimate comfort and rubberized PVC patches. This is truly the king of kings.

The Neck Flex® Ballistic Kevlar® Series Kit represents the absolute pinnacle of cervical conditioning hardware, combining the multi-patented Neck Flex design with military-grade armor components. Built on the high-performance MMB Pro structural platform, it introduces genuine Kevlar® threading that is 10x stronger than steel to deliver a "king of kings" training system. This ultra-premium harness natively supports both heavy progressive plate-loading and dynamic resistance band training for total 360-degree cervical development.

Engineered Superiority Over Competitors

The Ballistic Series stands as a direct response to inferior industry designs, such as the Iron Neck Alpha Harness. Independent video reviews from The Strength Classroom have visually proven that competitor units slip and shift due to structural flaws. The Ballistic Kit renders those designs obsolete:
  • True Lateral Dog-Ear Anchors: Engineered with specialized vertical "dog-ear" side D-rings. This layout provides an anatomically perfect line of pull for lateral (side) neck flexion, preventing the harness from twisting out of place unlike the flat, horizontal loops on competitor harnesses.
  • Front Power Locking Strap: Includes a built-in front power strap that anchors the harness tightly to the head, preventing it from riding up into your eyes or sliding down during heavy forward flexion drills.
  • Armor-Grade Construction: Swaps out standard nylon thread for genuine Military-Grade Aramid Kevlar® fabric stitching paired with extra-thick, welded heavy-duty steel D-rings and comfort-driven diamond-embossed neoprene padding.

Who it is for

  • Concussion Prevention & Impact Mitigation: Rapidly establishes maximum kinetic neck stiffness to absorb, dissipate, and block violent rotational acceleration forces in high-impact sports like football, boxing, MMA, BJJ, and wrestling.
  • Hypertrophy & Elite Bodybuilding Aesthetics: Facilitates zero-compromise heavy plate loading to isolate the sternocleidomastoid and splenius capitis muscles, helping users build a thicker neck profile, a tighter jawline, and enhanced upper-body symmetry.
  • Chiropractic Alignment & Tech Neck Correction: Used by medical professionals to strengthen weak cervical stabilizer muscles, reversing forward-head posture caused by computer use and accelerating whiplash rehabilitation.

Named in peer-reviewed research

When researchers ran a 20-week randomized controlled trial on 69 Royal Danish Air Force helicopter pilots and crew, they had to name their equipment in the methods section so that other labs could reproduce the work. The harness they named was ours: "a head harness (The Original Neck Flex® Head Harness, Gonzo Companies, USA)."

That choice was made during study design — before any results existed, by researchers with no stake in selling harnesses, for a protocol that ran three times a week for five months without supervision. Fit across 69 heads, load stability, padding and stitch integrity at the load points all had to hold, or the data would not.

The vital importance of neck strength

Neck strength is often overlooked in training programs, yet it plays a critical role in both performance and injury prevention, especially in contact sports and physically demanding professions. Head and neck injuries, including concussions, can have long-term consequences, making it essential for athletes and coaches to take neck conditioning seriously. The Neck Flex® was created to address this need by providing a safer, more effective, and more versatile alternative to traditional neck training methods. Unlike standard harnesses or machines, the Neck Flex® allows for controlled, multi-directional movement that better prepares the neck for real-world demands.

Picked this up to accent my regular weight lifting and because neck workouts would be much easier with this device than trying to balance plates or dumbbells on my head.

If you have never use a neck harness for bands before you need to get these. It can do everything a 4 way neck machine can do but with bands. Rotation exercises are easy to do as well. The product is very well built as well and should last a lifetime.
