The Strength Classroom — "What is the Best Neck Harness for Maximum Strength Gains?" (September 2024) and "Neck Flex vs Iron Neck Alpha+: Don't Buy a Neck Harness Until You Watch This" (October 2026)

Peter from The Strength Classroom, a strength coach who has trained his neck with a Neck Flex for ten years, has reviewed neck equipment more often than any other channel. His 2024 best-neck-harness review has 828,000 views. In October 2026 he bought an Iron Neck Alpha+ and put it beside his MMB Pro harness on camera: box contents, band versus plate loading, D-ring orientation, stitching and webbing, and price. The D-ring segment is a physical test rather than an opinion: on the Alpha+ the front and rear rings sit vertically, so a side-to-side pull lifts the harness instead of loading the neck. His verdict: "The Neck Flex, no matter what the model, is the best neck harness on the market." Cody Janko, The Stone Circle — "Neck Training Will Change Your Life" (September 2026)

An hour-long neck training guide from a certified personal trainer and two-time Amazon #1 bestselling author who bought his MMB Pro in 2019 and has trained with it ever since. The last twenty minutes put seven products on his own head, one after another: the Neck Flex MMB Pro, Ballistic Kevlar® and HALO kits, the Revolver™ rotation kit, the Iron Neck Alpha, a DMoose harness and a Gymreapers harness. On the Alpha: "Man, it's not even a contest. Like, I would choose the Neck Flex every single time." 220,000 views in its first month. Axel of Hersovyac covers neck training from anatomy to programming in his full guide, with a Neck Flex chapter at 6:10, and trains on it in his beginner home workout, neck curl, neck extension and neck sides guides. Ben Bergman, Power and Might — "Is There The Best Harness For Your Neck? Let's Learn By Comparing" (August 2026) and "Training The Neck Safely While Building Strength" (September 2026)

Ben Bergman has written about old-school strength training at Power and Might for more than a decade. His August 19, 2026 comparison puts the three Neck Flex kits (HALO, Ballistic Kevlar® and MMB Pro) up against the DMoose harness and the Iron Neck Alpha harness and ranks the Neck Flex first, calling the kits "most likely the safest pieces of equipment you can get" for the band, chain and door-anchor work they make possible. • The MMB Pro Series holds 4.7 stars from 74 ratings — and never received a single one-star review. ASIN B0BN9JLKM7, distribution 85 / 7 / 5 / 3 / 0.
• 85% of its ratings are five-star — the highest five-star percentage of any neck training harness sold on Amazon. All 25 neck harnesses on amazon.com with 50 or more ratings were checked and their star distributions read directly off each listing. The next closest is 80%; the category median is 70%.
• It is also the most consistently rated harness in the category — the least polarising of the 25, measured by the spread of its rating distribution.

To 2012 — fourteen years — and it is documented rather than asserted:

• The USPTO trademark record for NECK FLEX (Serial 88592849) gives first use in commerce as 1 January 2012.
• A YouTube video dated 11 September 2012 carries TheNeckFlex.com in its description — the earliest contemporaneous public artifact we have found.
• Mike "The Machine" Bruce began publishing Neck Flex training posts on his blog on 27 December 2012, followed by four more that week. He deleted that blog years ago; the posts survive in the Internet Archive.
• The provisional patent application was filed 4 September 2013, issuing as US 11,007,405.
• Two customers writing a decade later independently date themselves to the same period — a wrestling coach in 2022 describing ten years as a customer, and another in 2024 describing ten years of use.

• As reported by WV News (July 27, 2026) in its profile of co-founder Tom Hunt: users of the device have included strength athlete Mike "The Machine" Bruce, UFC fighters Jon Jones, Dustin Poirier and Benoît Saint Denis, professional boxer Anthony Joshua, and Formula 1 driver Alex Albon; fitness educators Jeff Nippard and Jeff Cavaliere have promoted the product.
